The PULS QTD20.241 is a compact and efficient 480 W DIN rail DC/DC converter with an input range of 480 to 840 V DC, an adjustable output voltage of 24 to 28 V DC and a nominal output current of 20 A. The high input-voltage range makes this converter suitable for DC-link and traction applications. Efficiency of up to 95% reduces power losses and heat generation. The DC-OK relay contact supports straightforward remote status monitoring. Equipped with spring-clamp terminals for a reliable electrical connection.

Description
Modern machines typically use maintenance-free AC-motors which are controlled by frequency converters or servo amplifiers. Such devices have an intermediate DC-bus where all individual drives are connected.
The QTD20 DC/DC converter can be connected directly to the intermediate DC-bus. In case of a mains failure, the QTD20 utilizes the power from the DC-bus capacitors which are charged from the kinetic energy of the motor until the motor has come to a complete stop.
The intermediate DC-bus is usually unfiltered and have high EMI noise so the QTD20 has a very robust input stage and an appropriate input filter included. Additionally, the QTD20 is UL 508 approved and is equipped with input fuses which are rated and tested for 600Vdc applications.
